President Bola Tinubu urged Nigerians on Thursday to stick with his administration, saying he understood the anguish they must be feeling since the end of the petrol subsidy on May 29.
The President assured that the current difficulties will eventually give way to a more prosperous, egalitarian, and inclusive economy.
"You have persevered; all you need to do now is persevere even more." Making the essential adjustments will not be easy," Tinubu told a delegation of youth leaders from 36 states led by the All Progressives Congress Youth Leader, Mr Dayo Israel, at the State House in Abuja.
"I plead your understanding that economic reforms are sometimes very slow," Tinubu told the delegation.
"I can assure you that I understand your anguish, as well as the anguish of your uncles, brothers, and mothers." I can feel it.
"It is not easy to expel a 40-year-old monster known as subsidy."
